Patty Tiscareño is the Executive Director of the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, a public charity which has been in existence in El Paso since 1996. She is responsible for oversight of the $13 million in foundation assets, creation of the foundation's major programs and initiatives, and the grant making operations. She has held this position since the Foundation's inception.
Her background is in banking, having spent fifteen years as Vice President of Investments with the original State National Bank. She is a graduate of Loretto Academy and the University of Texas at El Paso with a BA in English Literature. She was the 2018 outstanding alum (Gold Nugget) from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at El Paso.
She serves on the board of directors of the Stern Foundation (a supporting organization of the El Paso Community Foundation), is past President of the Board of Loretto Academy and currently serves as the Professional in Residence for the Humanities Collaborative between the University of Texas at El Paso and the El Paso Community College. She is a graduate of the 2012 REALIZE Transformational Leadership Class, Leadership El Paso Class 16, Leadership Arts Class 4 and is a certified trainer under Board Source.She is the 2002 recipient of the YWCA REACH Award in the Business Executive category, the 2016 recipient of the Women of Impact award, and was inducted into the El Paso Commission for Women Hall of Fame in 2018.
She loves reading, gardening and cooking. In her spare time, she is the vocalist for the musical group "PT & the Cruisers".
