The Rio Grande Cancer Foundation volunteers are priceless! Giving their time, talent and energy to helping people through the cancer experience, our volunteers work in the treatment centers to provide direct patient assistance, help facilitate empowerment groups to support patients, plan for annual conferences that help survivors learn life changing tools and many other activities.
If you are interested in being part of our programs - whether as an Ally who works one-on-one with a like cancer patient to helping with special events, we would love to talk with you.
* Volunteers must be 21 years or older.
"What a joy and a privilege it is to volunteer with the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation. It is a wonderful organization with a noble goal - that of helping cancer patients through their cancer journey. I am immensely blessed and grateful to spend time with cancer patients, the family members and friends who support them, and the medical community who serve and treat them. These are all very special people. They show me on a daily basis an amazing largeness of heart, contentment for life and what it holds, and unbounded courage to face the day ahead. The good people at RGCF have given us volunteers a gift by letting us work in this wonderful community of people." ---- Karen Stephens
